No. Your Department Head and Dean will not have signing authority on behalf of the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ·.
They have the authority to sign various internal forms and acknowledgements, such as Research Agreement Approval Forms, but not legal agreements which contain binding commitments from the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ·.
After your research agreement has been reviewed and finalized, the Research Legal team will directly obtain the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ·â€™s signature from an authorized signatory. Research Legal can also support you in obtaining signatures from the other contractual party(ies).
Research Legal will assess which specific individual at the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· is authorized to sign your agreement request. This may include the Vice-President (Research), an Associate Vice-President (Research), or another approved delegate.

In general, all research activities occurring at the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· or otherwise involving the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ·â€™s facilities, administration, or resources should be addressed by legal agreements directly between the 91Âé¶¹¾«Æ· and any research partners and funders.
